 Three Israelis shot dead at West Bank-Jordan border


 Three Israelis were shot and killed on September 8, 2024, at the Allenby Bridge border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan. The assailant, reportedly approaching from the Jordanian side in a truck, exited the vehicle and opened fire, killing three Israeli civilians, all men in their 50s. Israeli security forces swiftly responded, shooting the attacker. They also investigated the truck for possible explosives. Following the incident, both Israel and Jordan closed their respective sides of the border while further investigations continued.


This crossing, also known as the King Hussein Bridge, is a vital link between Jordan and the West Bank, often used for the movement of goods.
